2016

The first channel

Missor, his brother and a small group of friends launch a YouTube channel in Nice — a free, candid forum for discussions on art, civilisation and society.

2020

The turn to sculpture

The content pivots toward classical sculpture. The toppling of public statues across the United States and Europe becomes one of the explicit reasons for founding the workshop.

23 January 2021

Atelier Missor is founded

The studio is incorporated as a French SAS in Nice. A small group of co-founders is involved from the beginning.

16 January 2022

First major press portrait

Le Figaro publishes a portrait video: « Missor, the sculptor-YouTuber who wants to rehabilitate History. »

October 2023

Move to Paris

The workshop relocates from Nice to the greater Paris area.

17 January 2024

The technical portrait

Fonderie PIWI publishes a long-form technical portrait of the workshop, focused on its lost-wax casting practice.

Summer 2024

Hercules at Rueil-Malmaison

A bronze Hercules — read as the mythological founder of the Olympic Games — is installed in Rueil-Malmaison on the occasion of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, as a donation to the city.

Joan of Arc inaugurated in Nice

The equestrian Joan of Arc — bronze, gold-leaf, 4.5 metres, 9 tonnes — is inaugurated by the mayor of Nice.

The « New Statue of Liberty » tweet

The studio publishes a tweet in French and English announcing a new titanium statue of Liberty. Seventy-two thousand likes, a one-word reaction from Elon Musk — « Looks cool » — and the first wave of American coverage.

May 2025

Prometheus, for Starbase

Announcement of a twenty-metre titanium Prometheus, conceived for SpaceX's Starbase facility. Michael Gibson — co-founder of the 1517 Fund and a veteran of the Thiel Fellowship — meets Missor in Paris.

June 2025

First journey to San Francisco

A public presentation at Presidio Heights. Meetings with Sebastian Caliri (8VC, formerly Palantir) and Caitlin Kalinowski (formerly Meta Reality Labs and OpenAI Robotics). The journey is organised by the 1517 Fund.

The Manhattan Institute's City Journal publishes a long essay on the workshop: « Promethean Ambitions ».

The studio publicly unveils its explosive-hydroforming process for forming titanium sheets.

The Guardian of Liberty

The studio unveils the maquette of the Guardian of Liberty — a monumental figure carrying the globe — on its channels. The unveiling goes viral.
