Home II — The Titanium

A metal that endures for millions of years.

What comes next will not be cast. It will be assembled, sheet by sheet, from titanium pressed in a chamber of argon — on a steel skeleton, in the very method that built the Statue of Liberty. Made to stand for a thousand civilisations.

II.1  ·  The metal

Silent, patient, incorruptible.

Bronze is alive — it patinas, it weathers, it speaks back to the weather. Titanium is silent and patient. It does not corrode. A monument built in titanium endures for millions of years.

The choice of titanium is the studio's answer to two distinct problems: the iconoclasm of recent decades, and the scale that contemporary patrons increasingly want. Titanium is lighter than bronze, more resistant to wilful damage, and far more durable. It also, as the studio likes to say, simply will be there when everything else is gone.

II.2  ·  The technique

Argon, pistons, explosion.

The workshop has built a custom press of computer-controlled pistons that shapes titanium sheets in an argon-filled chamber. The pressed panels are then assembled on an internal steel skeleton — a method consciously borrowed from the construction of the Statue of Liberty itself.

A second, complementary technique was unveiled in the summer of 2025: explosive hydroforming. An underwater detonation propels a titanium sheet into its mould — a brutal, fast, repeatable process that the studio describes as the path to producing « thousands of titanic sculptures » at industrial speed.

The promise on the studio's own page is direct: « Costs reduced by a factor of ten, and production speed increased by a similar factor. »

II.3  ·  Prometheus

Prometheus, for Starbase.

2025 — Starbase, Texas

A twenty-metre titanium statue of Prometheus brandishing the stolen torch, conceived for SpaceX's Starbase facility.

The figure of Prometheus is the workshop's offering to the long lineage of titans, makers and fire-bringers. A bronze maquette has been completed; the full-scale titanium piece is the studio's next great endeavour.

Public response on its unveiling included a one-word reaction from Elon Musk : « Looks cool. »

II.4  ·  Guardian

The Guardian of Liberty.

Target: 4 July 2026

A monumental figure bearing the world — proposed as a gift for the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Unveiled in October 2025 on the studio's channels, the Guardian of Liberty is conceived as a contemporary Atlas: a single figure carrying the globe, in titanium, of unprecedented scale.

Long after the myth of Atlas is forgotten, he will stand strong, reminding future civilisations that once on Earth, great men lived.
